Is your book set in la belle France? I specialise in editing books set in France, thanks to my French degree from the University of Oxford and my experience of living and working in France.

Are you writing a book set in France?

If your novel, memoir or non-fiction manuscript is set in France (whether partly or wholly), you’ll receive extra benefits from my editing service, at no extra cost.

I’m a trained editor with years of experience editing fiction, non-fiction and web content. I’m a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), and a Partner Member of the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi). I also have a longstanding connection with France and the French language.

About my connection with France

I’m a bit of a francophile. Every since I began learning French at school, I have loved the language. I have a degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Oxford, I’ve lived and worked in different regions of France, and I’m writing a book set in the south of France.

Not only will I carry out all the careful checks involved in a normal line edit, copyedit or proofread, I will also ensure that any French in your book is accurate (accents and all!), that placenames are correct and that the setting and characters are authentic.
