Editing can seem expensive due to the time, skill and experience required to do it properly. If you’d rather not commit to an edit of your complete manuscript, I can work on the first 10,000 words of your book.
Agents often request a sample of around this word count, so this is your chance to polish those first 10,000 words before querying.
I offer copyediting, line editing or a combination of the two levels of editing.
This service includes:
- a detailed edit of the level of your choice (line edit, copyedit, or a combination of the two)
- a bespoke style sheet containing preferences of spelling, punctuation, grammar and more for your book, to ensure professional consistency throughout your whole manuscript
- an editorial report (optional extra – £50) detailing areas of strength and suggestions for improvement
- a 60-minute handover call (optional extra – £100) either at the end of the project or a few weeks after, once you’ve had time to digest the edits. This is your chance to cover any queries you may have, gain additional writing advice, or discuss next steps for your book.
